LS Giano

Originally designed in light weight, modelled after Monotone Gothic (Morris F. Benton, ATF, 1907), especially from smaller sizes specimen where the letters are wider. The design looked surprisingly modern after completed with its bolder weights, with some letters inspired by Title Gothic No. 9 (ATF, 1923) and ITC Blair (Jim Spiece, ITC, 1997). Rather than straight revival, it takes it own course where fashionable letters was the goal, optimized for logotype and display, yet versatile enough for body type.
